Another month in and well I can say
the month of March was not a very good one. It started with my car breaking
down and then got better when it was fixed but in retrospect it was just an ok
month. I had bit of a falling off the wagon month. Now I can say that I didn’t
gain any weight but I didn’t lose anything either. Although on a positive note
I did fit in my size 18 jeans and a pair of dress pants so bonus.
I can also say that I went 40 days
and 40 nights with no fast food which was so cool to be able to make it that long,
now I can say that the idea of eating fast food doesn’t sounds good at all
which I never thought would happen, because I have always been a fast food girl.
I mean I should have taken up stock in that crap with as much money as I spent.
It was a little hard at first and I know its hard when I’m with a group of
people but, I feel so much better knowing that I have passed on a juicy greased
filled cheeseburger.
Accomplishing this challenge leads
me to my next challenged on this whole changing food habits and things of that
nature, and this one will be a major, but I feel that I can meet it head on…..
I’m going to give up fried food all the way around, which means no French fries
when you order food at a restaurant, no more potato chips unless they are
baked, no more hot wings, no more cheese sticks, chicken tenders, seriously no
more fried food. Talk about a challenge because everything today seems to be
fried, well at least all the good food is fried, because everything is better
battered and fried with a ton of butter. So how long am I going to challenge
myself? One month I’m going to try this challenge for a month and I feel it’s
going to be a hard one but another good change. Think about all the different foods I will
be trying out and trying to replace all the food that I can’t have anymore and
for the record White Sweet Potato French fries baked are AMAZING!!!!
That basically sums up March no
weight change, all though I fit in a size 18 jean, and made it 40 days and 40
nights with no fast food, oh yeah and lets not forget a little fall off the
wagon. Although with all that I will admit part of the stalling out was due to
lack of inspiration so to speak, which happens sometimes you just hit those potholes
along the road which might make you stubble a little bit, but just when you
need that little pick me up something happens, like someone telling you that
you inspire them to do something different to take the stairs instead of the
elevator, or that you find out that more people are reading your blog then you
thought and that you are inspiring them to start to make a change. It was
hearing thing like that in the past week or so that has given me more energy to
keep pushing forwarded and to keep working towards my goal. Just think at some
point in time we all need each other just for that extra push. So here we are
the start of April and time to keep pushing forward and achieving my goals. A
month and 6 days away from my birthday so I need to make some progress and drop
some more weight like Apolo Ohno always says “Zero Regrets” got to get up and
do everything and push myself and accomplish my goals.
So I say we make April a month of
accomplishing goals. Write your goals down look at them every day, for me my
goals this month are no fried food, staying with my no fast food and also
losing another 5 pounds. Yes they will be hard but they will be worth it. Just
think goals don’t have to be huge, start small give yourself a time frame and
fight to accomplish your goals, and then after achieving them keep building on them.
They always say set short-term goals that lead you to your long-term goals, and
I think that April is a perfect month to do just that, “Provehito In Altum”.
Tell next time reach for the
highest and have Zero Regrets”
Accomplish
her goals Girl Out.
